We have 12 teachers and a special ed teacher, so far this is what we have:
Prinicipal for a day
G-rated movie with teacher and dinner at Pizza Hut
Bedtime story at student's house
Make cookies with teacher in her home
Go to toy store with teacher and get a toy valued at $xx
Cereal and cartoons in classroom with teacher and 3 friends before school
Lunar Golf at the mall with teacher and 1 friend, McDonald's afterwards
Our auction is in April but that's what I have so far.
Oh, that is a tough one. That would be hurtful and ruin your potential teacher participation for next year. I would ask your committee/board to check the sheets periodically and if, by a certain time at the auction, there is no one's name on a teachers sheet, ask them to put theirs in with minimum value.
I know others won't agree with me but I think the end (currying good favor with teachers) justifies the means (out of pocket expenses).
See what others think on this board.
We're starting to put together our first auction and it's looking like we might have 100% teacher participation for teacher services. I was wondering what do you do if a service is not getting bid on? I don't want the particular teacher to feel embarrassed so do I bid on these things myself or get some of my board to? Just trying to have ideas so I'm prepared for everything.
