You could do a movie night with Over the Hedge and play into the double intaundra.
Do you have a logo on your t-shirts? If not that could be a great start of school year activity and could bring new life to your school spirit.
If you could find a hedgehog plush toy you could possibly work to create various scapes in the front lobby, maybe working with the art teacher. For example, we are the huskies and purchased a plush husky that goes in the case in the front lobby of the school. There are monthly themes that incorporate the huskie toy (the school voted to name him "Hunter"). So during the space theme Hunter is dressed up like an astronaught. When we had a book fair coming is that was using a beach theme we had hunter lounging on a beach chair. So you get the idea...
