In OTC's defense, I don't think this type of separate pricing structure is unusual. It's just somewhat unusual that you've run across it.

We know, for example, that Kroger pays a lot less for Tide than we do as consumers. We know that restaurants can buy steaks for less money than we pay at the grocery store.

OTC has one division that sells direct and another -- this new one found here -- that is a supplier to small businesses and small stores. Not surprising that there's a different pricing model for the two. I don't know those guys from a hole in the wall, just sayin'....

I agree with you. I said to them, it is sad that they wouldn't at least include schools. They will help for profit agencies, but not for non profits. Doesn't make sense to me.

Hi Guys,

Boy was I excited when I found this thread. Unfortunatly, they did give me the minimum per year line. This is what they said in an email "Fun Express is a subsidiary of Oriental Trading and we were established to service for profit businesses only. We do not sell to individuals, schools, churches or non profit businesses. We do require that you have a business license and are able to purchase a minimum of $2,000.00 per year." So sad.

I don't know...maybe they changed their policy. I am just giving information that they told me the other day when I called. Buyer beware...thats all. I would have signed up myself, but I know we aren't going to spend $2,000 on those types of things. Just trying to help...that's all.
