If the PTO is to endorse a product, shouldn't it be a product that the school & district also would endorse. If it conflicts in their curriculum or is not by a reputable source, they may not want the PTO to have their name on it. PTO implies that its OK with the school.
The school & district usually have a long list of educational material that can be recommended to parents. In my district, our local hospital has a education center and they offer classes for teens, pre-teens & parents to attend on dating, puberity, and sex education. The district approved the PTO's to inform parents of the classes, but we didn't endorse any other type of books or tapes.

We are looking for more feedback on a new DVD and book set our organization is considering referring our parents to. The title is "Help! My Teen is Dating" at www.helpmyteenisdating.com
. So far, we know of 4 families who love the resource (including ourselves), but we are still looking for more input.
For some reason, my last comment on this product for parents was deleted from this board (I didn't even get a message why). I'm hoping you can all provide more feedback.
Have you seen this DVD? If so, what did you think?
