Thanks for your post. This thread is nine years old, and it appears that the program no longer exists. Based on the previous post, I wonder if it ever got off the ground. I did google etiquette and cotillion programs in NYC -- there are several, but I don't know whether they have in-school programs. Best wishes, and I'm sorry we couldn't be of any more help.
I greet you on behalf of Summit Academy in Brooklyn, NY. We recognize that we are on a different coast and cannot use your company but we are working to facilitate a cotillion at the end of this school year. It would be great if we could get some insight from you on how to facilitate this in NY. I can be reached at This email address is being protected from spambots. Because my friend and I both signed our daughters up for ANN DELANEY"S cotillion class in August 2007. The class was cancelled 3 times. FInally in October when they still didn't reschedule they contacted us and said they would just refund our money. It is not JANUARY 2008 and neither of us have seen a dime. Our cost was $179.00 charged on our credit cards!!!
It is a sad day when new business owner's choose not to be fair. Not to mention BAD MANNERED!
If anyone has any contact info for ANN DELANEY I would surely like to have it. Her contact phone number and website are no longer working.
classes are great, we have after school etiquette at our school (but at $12 a pop - wooow)
another way to teach is if hubbies would pull chairs out, then so will the boys, is my guess. same goes for the girls and all etiquette in general for both sexes.
Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them. James Baldwin
Trac--any chance you'll share your lesson plans or program with us. I love this idea--I went to dinner last night with the boys and said under my breath "One of you had better pull the chair out for me"...imagine their looks of confusion when they got there ahead of me only to find we were seated at a booth ....d
Kma- you gave me a scare! Reading your post I thought you were trying to tell us you were born in the 40's. I was about to say "Damm girl! you are looking good for your age!" Then I realized, silly me, that your son is only 11, so you too, must be in your 40's. Don';t scare me like that again.....BTW, it's great to see you back on the boards.
As far as etiquette goes, I feel there's always a need. The kids today........
Please bring your program to the east coast!!!!!
