Our PTO president has just asked me to put together the flyer for our 1st valentine's dance. I am not very creative but I have more computer skills than she does. DOes anyone have any Valentine's dance flyers they can share?

Our elementary school had its first Cupid's Dance last school year, for primary grade students only Pre-K through 2nd grade. Upper elementary (3-5) have a Somebody Loves Me Dance in May. Both dances are parent-child events, children are not allowed without an adult guardian. We encourage students to bring their whole families for a night of family fun. We have served a sit-down dinner for both events, but will be eliminating that for the younger set this year since they were more interested in dancing than eating. We hired a DJ and set up a simple photo booth. We charged $5 per parent/child "couple" and $2 per additional person to cover cost of food. Pictures were $1 each and we used our school's digital camera and ran the disks over to Walgreens the next day to be developed. They even had a feature where you could add borders and we chose hearts (free). It was great! Invitations were sent with RSVP cards that we printed ourselves on regular copy paper. I can send you the template if you'll email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Im throwing the idea around about having a Valentines Day dance for our 4th & 5th grades. I thought I would bring it up at our next EBoard meeting. Any thoughts on the subject? Has anyone tried something like this?
