Yup -- JHB is correct. We still collect the preference (in case we turn the feature back on), but right now we have it off.

Hoping to have new community/boards software installed in not-very-distant future, so perhaps there will be some features-changes here on the boards.

Tim will probably chime in, but bascially that feature (displaying it) has changed over time.

I believe at the administrative level they have the power to have none display or else to default to the user choice (like you selected). A long time ago it was defaulted to user choice. But after some privacy concerns and data mining of emails from the site, the administrators turned it off. So now none display.

I may have muddled the history, but I think the bottom line is that individual email display is turned off at the top level.

E-Mail Help was created by <emailhelp>
When signing up it says do you want to have your email address listed so everybody can see it. I don't see anybody elses or mine for that matter. Anyone know what to do?

Mike
