talk to your principal and superintendent is the best way to go. they know why it was removed in the first place. did something 'more important' replace it, or was a funding cut behind the move.
at some schools, they now assign excercise (Xminutes per day, with log to turn in) as homework, very creative idea, isnt it. doesnt solve your diliemma for daytime recess, but really you hgave to talk to the powers that be to see what it would take to reinstate recess. you could also voice yuor concern at school board meetings and see what they think about the matter and what can be done.

Why is there no recess to start off with. What grades are you talking about elementary or middle school age students. I couldn't imagine our elemetnary school not giving the kids the time to play--my daughter in middle school does not have recess--they have lunch and then 10-15 minutes of time they sit in the gym right after lunch and chat

Does anyone have suggestions on how to get recess back in our school???
