Is this meeting for just the officers or are parents included also?
In our school district we have what is know as Coordinating Council, basically its all the officers get together the 2nd Monday of every month and we discuss what each PTO is doing. We go over the school calendar for conflicts of activities, planning district meetings, our district Chinese Auction, fundraisers (none of our fundraisers can be at one time they are staggered so all the schools arent fundraising at same time)
And then we discuss any other topics that are affecting the schools at the time. Our upcoming Bond Issue up for vote etc.
We get to share a lot of ideas this way too
If its including the parents you could do this also but realize your going to have a wind gamut of opinions being from all different age school kids parents.
Good Luck.

I think it would be neat to do a community outreach- invite clubs that do activities from your area to do a little demo about why their group is fun ... 4-H, girlscouts, YMCA, ART CLUBS, dance, guitar, sports etc.If adults can not attend to represent it would be a neat little project for kids to do a presentation. It would be nice for parents to know what these groups offer and how to get involved in one.
Oh no, stop me... I feel another meeting coming on!
I am the president of an elemenatry PTA, we have scheduled a joint meeting with the high school and middle school PTAs. We love the idea of showing solidarity and working together, but are not quite sure what topic spans k-12. We could do something related to nutrution and obesity, but it seems that is kind of overdone in our area. It would be nice to come up with something unique and informative and maybe even fun. I have gotten so many great ideas from these boards, can any one give me one more?
