got it Critter! and tonight's open house. I have several volunteer sign up sheets. I'll be sure to talk with those who I talked with already and see if I can get them directed to some of those harder to fill up events.
Perusing, here's an idea we use for those overflow volunteers: you have a "committee" called Volunteer Pool. They are people who we can call throughout the year as needs pop up. No firm commitment to a specific committee, but they know they might get a call for who knows what, whenever we're short handed. They feel they've contributed and we build a pool of extras.
Just wanted to take a quick moment and thank PTO today.
We gave out our 200 copies of Jump In! at our kindergarten & 1st grade meetings on Tuesday evening. Parents seemed to really like it.
And I'm really excited because for the first time EVER, I turned volunteers away for both our Photo Day & Popcorn Day! What a wonderful feeling to be able to say thank you for offering, but I actually had several others already volunteer. I'll be sure to think of you the next time we are looking for volunteers.
While I'm sure it wasn't as simple as passing out that magazine, I am sure that so many of the piles of advice we've utilized from the BB has been a factor!
Kudos! and know that there are lots of us out here benefitting from this site.
