We have just finished a process of evaluating scholarship applications for a $1000 scholarship. This is in memory of one of our students who graduated from our school (we are k-6) lived in our community and less than a month before he graduated from High school, he was killed in a rodeo accident. It really rocked our small town and the PTO wanted to do this to honor him and his parents. His mom, was the PTO president 10 years ago who organized our first "adult only dinner/dance & auction" called the Boot Scootin Boogie -that has now become our one and only fundraiser (we earn about $65,000 from this event alone!!) Anyway, we want to not only give the scholarship to the winner, but we want to give a remembrance to all the applicants-this year they were all friends that went to school together. I need some ideas on what might be appropriate. Thanks
