I am a brand new president of a PTO for a Preschool. We seem to have some confusion among parents as to what exactly the PTO should and should not purchase. It is my understanding that the PTO is in place to help assist in purchasing resources for the classroom, i.e books, age appropriate toys, and other classroom needs. Can this extend to getting things for the playground? Can someone please help me understand the exact purpose of a PTO so I am fully prepared for the first general assembly meeting. Thanks.
