Wow-thanks for all the feedback! You have given me some great ideas.I just love this group, I never feel like I am alone, it's like I have huge pto board working with me at all times-
thanks
our volunteers need to get a background check and TB check if they want to work directly with students -- aslways nice to let them know about this or any other such requirements yuor school might have, in advance so they can take care of those annoying things during summer.
Drill procedures- it is not fun to get stuck in a drill with no idea of what to do or what is going on.
Teacher names, room numbers, and planning periods
A map of the school for newbies
Lunchroom schedules
Special class schedules
Common sense stuff (hopefully) such as dress code (you know "please don't come in half naked"), conduct expectations, confidentiality reminders which is a requirment in our district for them to have that training.
Also any dates you have planned that you need help with.
I am a new pto chairperson. I am looking to revamp and update our pto volunteer handbook-it's ancient! Does anyone have any ideas or websites I could view to get some ideas? thanks so much!
