I try to send out a letter or e-mail to our staff each year. I don't have a copy. It's really up to you what you put in it and what you want to tell them about. My first letter is a welcome back letter with upcoming events for August. I also include any changes in the PTO from the previous year. After that, they always get a copy of the newsletter and calendar each month. I make it really positive and upbeat. I know they are super busy and most dread the extra stuff that comes their way. But, they are really supportive. We are working really hard this year to make PTO events and such less stressful for our staff.
