Thank you and I am humbled. I always tell folks I don't have a lot of good ideas, I have a lot of good experiences. These boards give me a chance to let my best self through as opposed to the times with the boys when I am so caught up in lights not being turned off or toys left on the carpet that I get disappointed with my reactions. So thanks to all of you for coming together with issues we may not be able to share with our best friends.
Trust me--if I wrote an advice column, I be writing myself every day .

Hi K--this isn't a specific welcome one but it is something I wrote a couple of years ago and we've used it on special occasssions...

“This one is special” he thought as he tugged
and pushed in more kisses and smiles and hugs.
“This one will love those she’s just barely knows,
she’ll give them the gifts, that they’ll need to grow.”

“She’ll smile at their smiles, she’ll wipe off their tears,
she’ll give them her heart, keep them safe, quell their fears.”
“She’ll let them each know just how special they are,
and for some that don’t know that; her words will heal scars.”

“She’ll cradle my children, with a soft gentle spirit,
she’ll tell them she loves them—and make sure that they hear it.”
“Yes this one will quietly touch lives every day,
in the kindest of manner, in the loveliest way.”

“I’ll not make her path be easy you see,
for each year they will leave her, somewhere else they must be.”
“In turn I’ll show daily how special her reach,
I’ll make sure she knows I made her to teach.”

“And she’ll walk with my children and for the joy that she brings,
They will call her their teacher, an angel less wings.”
