We did one this last year. We had a parent from our school who was a Creative Memories consultant who hosted them for us, taught beginners, helped those who were more advanced. She also donated her profits from each school scrapbooking night to the PTO. We raised over $700 this year from that. It increased over the year - and we are excited to do this again next year, and may merge it into more of an overall craft night to draw more people.
Can't wait to hear the responses! We were thinking of doing a fundraiser Craft Day. Was thinking of asking the local scrapbook store to provide a g.c. and have a few demonstrators there (Mary Kay, Party Lite, Stampin'Up and Close to My Heart)
Hi, Scottmom!
We keep ours very simple-- 5-10pm, the first Friday of every month, bring a snack to share and your own stuff to work on. We changed the name this year from Mom's Scrapbook Niight to Mom's Night Out... some people wanted to come to knit, crochet, or just chat with other Madison moms and we felt the new title was more fitting.
No muss, no fuss, no PTO cost... just a great way to build community (and, as a leader, develop new volunteers!)

I would love to do a scrapbooking night. If you have done one in the past, would you please post any suggestions, lessons learned, etc. Thanks in advance.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
