Are the treas. & pres. good friends? Maybe the treas. feels like you are taking over the pres. job (which in our by-laws, the v.p. takes over when the pres. can't)so when the pres. comes back, the treas. feels the pres. won't have her job back. Does your group talk to the pres. to get her input? Maybe the treas. doesn't like change. Good luck.
The only thing I can think of is to ask her directly. Either call her or pull her aside after your next meeting. Be neutral and listen to her, she may have perceived some slight from you, real or imagined, and has been steaming over it ever since.
Have you asked her directly what her issues are? Maybe you could resolve them that way that your both ther for the kids and want to make the best of it.
Good Luck

I am fairly new to our school's PTO. I was elected the VP in January when our last one step down. We haven't had a very active PTO in the last years. So we are really trying to pull it together this year. I am all of a sudden having issues with the treasurer. She has been rude to me, making nasty comments. And then was totally unprofesional at our last meeting with two different Reps for fundraisers. I have talked with the prinicpal and asst. princiapl. He said he talked to her, but I am just afraid that hasn't helped. She has given lots of her time to our projects and the school but her brashness is now an issue. And the slander towards me. We don't have any by laws in place. I am currently working on getting them together, thanks to this site. Any advice on how I should handle this??
I should also say that our President is not involved at the moment for health reasons that make her unable to attend meetings.
