I just recently downloaded PTO Manager from this site and it sure is a great tool for reaching out to others in the group and keeping everyone informed. I give it 2 thumbs up!!

I was able to get all my schools information entered in about an hour!

I'm sure Tim's PTO Manager is much better than what I do but last year I started a Yahoo Group for our school and it now has over 350 addresses. It's a considerable time investment setting it up, but once that's done it's not bad. We e-mail out our weekly school newsletter (in addition to sending home a paper copy) and also a weekly reminder of upcoming events. The parents can respond to the e-mail but only to me, not to the whole group(I set it up that way). I think it's been a great success. I hear positive feedback from working parents who are more likely to get the newsletter when it's delivered to their desktop than to dig around for it in their child's backpack.

The hard part may be getting the e-mail addresses from the parents.
Good luck!

Hi my3 --

There are other ways to do the "just email" thing, but a great email tool (personalized emails, ability to add attachments, ability to send to a selected subsets like "just 1st grade parents" or "just parents who expressed interest in helping with fun fair", etc.) is just one of the features of our PTO Manager software tool.

You've got to try the free demo.

How do any of you do this. I'm really not that computer savy but is there any sites to form a group at or something so that I can send emails out but not where there coming from my indiviual email addy. What do you think?
