We just had a CPR training night. It was open to any parent or caregiver of a student. Charge was $15 if they want certification, free if you simply want the lesson. We have a parent that is licenced to give the class. You can maybe ask around if you have a parent as well or ask at your local firehouse.
Our committee also sells First Aid kits (with no profit) in the beginning of every other school year. They send home a flier asking for $5 for each kit. After all the responses come back they are ordered. When ordering in bulk, they are cheaper. It always gets a big response. Many people buy multiples because at that price they keep them in their cars, give them as Christmas gifts and at baby showers.
Have a doctor, policeman, fireman, dentist.... come in & give an assembly on how to be healthy & stay safe. Hold theme days with activities geared up towards health & safety. Good luck!!
