This is Mel Levine's website. He has an institute on Union Square in Manhattan. Very good programs offered monthly.
He will also come to your school to speak. My sister-in-law and brother live in Scarsdale and their local PTO had him there to speak.
I wanted to go but had too many meeting that day to take the time off of work. She said he was quite informative.
You should also look into doing a nutrition seminar for parents. There is so much buzz now re: childhood obesity, type 2 diabetes in kids etc.
Go to www.wrightslaw.com. They have a yellow pages link for services groups and you can search the NYC school district. Great resource.
Does anyone know of organizations that do parent workshops on literacy, testing, stress management etc, in NYC Area? We have title 1 parent involvement funds and would like to get some workshops in our school for our parents.
