dlf...Do you think you could possibly email me a copy of one of your newsletters just to give me a visual. It sounds like you have a great thing going. tjemskelton@yahoo.com..thanks for the input.
Our first "Prints" was 10 Pages this time "YIKES". We do a couple of fun things like the President's column of course, then we do a "Let me introduce you to" and spotlight one of the more "obscure" folks at the school like the computer tech etc. We also do a "In case you didn't know" that outlines more unmentioned rules of the school and processes -- like the PTOs backing of the school lunch program so every child can eat the meal offered even if there account is in arrears. We also do calendar, and run reminders for organizations in the school. This year we are going to help sponsor a "Little Prints" which will be a totally child created front and back page. It should tie in nicely with the teachers SOLs, with a 5th grade editor and "kid" reporters and interviews. We're excited about it.
I like the website familyfun.com. Lots of games and crafts, etc. Last year at one of my children's Christmas parties, we played Christmas bingo and I printed it off this website: www.dltk-cards.com/bingo/bingo1.asp
HELP..We are starting up a small monthly PTO newsletter just to inform the families of monthly PTO activities or small reminders for fundraisers etc. Due to the school putting out a small newsletter I am trying to stay away from any topics that they may use. I had the idea to put a "Room Parent tips of the month" for room party game ideas, snack ideas, craft ideas. But I have searched all over the internet for cute ideas for all ages Preschool - 5th grade. I am really coming up short. Any ideas for those topics or ideas on new things pertaining to PTO thay I may use?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks tjemskelton@yahoo.com
