The only thing I've seen on that was a LAZoo writeup we did for a kids newsletter after my daughters class went last year.
Her classmates had never seen Flamingo's (Pink or any other color) and they asked me what they were, without thinking (I do that alot) I replied,"Ugly Lawn Ornaments). One of the kids picked that for his class project. "Ugly Lawn Ornaments"

I think that is funny! I do that as my home business. I do lawn announcement rentals. I have the 6' storks, flamingos, piglets, hearts, tombstones, whirly flowers to name a few.

It is so eerie that you should ask this question. I happened to be surfing the PTO Today archives just a few minutes ago and came across an article about the Flamingos as a fundraiser. Here is a link to the archive page, it is the one at the top.
Okay I just heard about this fundraiser which I thought was hysterical. But I can't find info on it.
Apparently, the PTO, for a price, will go around and stick a bunch of Pink flamingo lawn ornaments in your unsuspecting friends lawn in the middle of the night, you can buy insurance so people can't "flock" you, you can pass it along or something else to.
Does your school do it? Send me your order form a write up, whatever you have.
I searched the message boards and main site and didn't find any info. I'm looking for any and as much info as I can get.
IT's just the kinda fun thing my group needs to do and have done.
