Good job--I like the idea of the informal get together and the autograph scavanger hunt. Cool. Ours was good too...we have another tomorrow but in just one night we got 83 PTO members to sign up. Not too bad. We rang bells for new members and kids were running to put their colored scoops on the cones of paper we'd made. Lots of spirit wear sold as well....so it is time for bed and tomorrow we do it again, but first I have to make chicken salad for 40 croissants we are serving the teachers at the boo hoo luncheon....d
We had over three hundred people at our Back to School Night tonight. I am so jazzed!!!
It was a real low key event. We met in the cafeteria first and our new principal introduced all the teachers and just welcomed everyone and then everyone went outside to the playground where we cooked hotdogs on the grill. The kids played and the parents just mingled. It was GREAT!!
The only planned activity was an autograph scavanger hunt just to get things started and we had a few door prizes, but everyone just enjoyed visiting most of all.
We got orange drink donated by McDonald's, cups donated by Sonic, hot dogs donated by a local restuarant. The whole thing cost about $400 and we had a ton of stuff left over that we will use for our Hoe Down. Well worth the money!!!
