The only thing missing from the balloon poem is the title over the first one- example
Derek's first Day of Kindergarten.

These were attached to helium balloons and given to the parents.

One of our parents wrote them.

K-balloon poem:

I’m a big boy now ready to fly… can you see!
I’m learning to count and say my ABC’s…
Look Mommy and Daddy, aren’t you proud of me!

But hold on tight to the string, ‘cause you know
Although I’m growing I still need you, you know
To hear about my day, and cuddle next to me
As I tell you my tales of Kindergarten, you see.

I’m making new friends and learning each day
And with each step, I’m up, up and away!
But never too far for you to hold onto me
Because I love you Mommy and Daddy…won’t you fly with me?

SARAS FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN

Look Mommy and Daddy! Look at me!
I’m a big girl now ready to fly… can you see!

The Value of One Member:

Ten little members standing in a line. One disliked the President, and then there were nine. Nine members planned to work quite late. One forgot her promise and then there were eight. Eight little members with good deeds of heaven. One lost her enthusiasm and then there were seven. Seven regular members got into a fix. They quarreled over the program and then there were six. Six little members very much alive. One moved away and then there were five. Five little members wishing there were more. One became indifferent and then there were four. Four little members cheerful as could be one complained of too many meetings, and then there were three. Three eager members knew what to do One joined a bridge club and then there were two. Two faithful members, our rhyme is nearly done. One just got discouraged and then there was one. One lone member, won her neighbor true. brought her to a meeting and then there were two. Two earnest members each enrolled one more. That doubled their number and then were four. Four sincere members worked and couldn't wait. Till each had won another and then there were eight. Eight enthusiastic members got sixteen more. and in just six more verses the enrollment is 1,024. (Reprinted from the Kansas Parent-Teacher)
