I have a manual machine that cost about $50, though it costs about 30 cents per button in materials. Check out www.badgeaminit.como
- I think they may have a corner on the home button-making market. They have several other, more automated, and more expensive machines.
At the elementary there is a button maker. It is handy. It is used for AR and alot of other things (at least at one time). We also have a badge maker that you hook up to a computer. It cost about $3500.00 but we made our money back on it quick by selling them at Fall Festival by making "driver's licenses" (they were not so real they would pass for a fake ID), Friendship, Santa, and other backdrops. We also used those for ID's in lieu of a company. It was well worth the purchase even if it was done over my head. (The purchase was supposed to wait until after the mulch was bought, next thing I knew there was that machine).
If you do, where did/do you buy your equipment and supplies? We are trying to come up with some inexpensive ways to celebrate next year. Thanks.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
