We are doing a coin collection with the proceeds going to the Salvation Army who already have people over there. We are not using it as a contest, just as a way to teach the children charity and giving.
I'm a past president and have a child in elementary and middle school. I really feel strongly that we should raise some money to send off to the Tsunami (sp?) efforts. I'm hoping the teachers will get on board to show geographically where this is related and it can also be a teaching experience. What are you all doing? One of the other schools is doing "Pennies from Heaven" and filling jars with pennies. (I love that idea - thought I'd share it with you ) I may just have a "Let's help Change their life" and raise change. Top class gets a popcorn party. Just looking for other thoughts. TIA
