At our elementary, we can use the school copier/paper for our jobs when we use standard white paper. When we use colored paper, we provide the reams of paper stock. In order for our flyers and such to stand out, we probably use colored paper 75% of the time.
At our middle school, even a one-page document takes two reams of paper. So generally the principal asks the PTO to provide the paper - but we use the school copier and there's no cost for the copying.
Our county has a copy center. You fill out the form and send it in. It takes about a week to get stuff back, so you have to be way ahead. Luckily, I have a wonderful boss who lets me make copies at work. I don't do big things, just little notes that go home that are about 5 on a page.
I'm new to our PTO and have found some great ideas on this board!
I'm planning on proposing ideas to help commication between the parents and teachers. I just volunteered to do the school/PTO newsletter(I hope I haven't gotten in over my head).
My question is who pays/does the printing of items like parent/teacher surveys, PTO brochures, etc. The school will take on the responsilbility of the newsletter, but what about other items?
