inhouse child care for volunteers

inhouse child care for volunteers was created by newkids
Last year there were some problems with parents bringing preschool children to school parties. The school ask that you not bring them but it did not insist. Anyway the principal was approved for an area to be used by parents where they might swap out child care during partiy times. Well, they cut the parties to 2 this year and the mother felt it wasn't worth the work for just 2 parties.
I have ask the principal to consider it as an option for parents who might want to volunteer an hour at a time in class. This would have to stay small group because of our space avaiable. Probably about 5 children at a time. Has anyone attempted this type of thing.
A group of us mothers contract out with a babysitter and take turns working with her.
but has anyone tried it in a school setting. Our children are already allowed to go to the Parent center with us to do like cutouts and things but we need something so some we could go into the classroom.
I'm trying to work on rules and expectations. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
