I certainly agree with the high cost of the tickets, and the ability to earn a "free" pass would intigue me. I just paid $65 for our all-sports family pass.
But...a plan like this requires that someone be in charge of tracking all the participation and requirements, and that parents accurately and in a timely fashion report their qualifying activities. Plus you may have that awkward incident at the football gate when a family is turned away because their pass has been revoked. Maybe your community is small enough to make this manageable - seems it could be a very big job for some volunteers.
our school board approved our group offering a family free sport pass if they are involved with our organizatin. They must not miss more than 2 meetings in a row, must help with activities, fundraising etc., should sign up on a committee but with that they still have to help out with all the other stuff that needs to get done---being on a committee is just so we know where there talents are.
Our next meeting is Sept. 8th so we will see how it goes from there. I know a lot of people are interested. If my dh wasn't on the school board, I know I'd do it. It is expensive to take 2 adults and 4 school aged kids to ballgames.
