Last year's President at our now former school, was a creative memories, scrapbooking fiend! She did Teacher spotlight pages, one a week, with favorite foods, color, movies, motivation etc on a scrapbook page and then when it was taken down, put into a teacher's lounge scrapbook.
Loved it but I don't have nearly enough time to get that into scrapbooking, but I would bet money, you have one member that is and would love to do it!

I just decorated our PTSO bulletin board in the main hall. I too went to the teacher supply store and got a really cute black and white gingham border, black letters and "bee" items. Out board decided our slogan for this year is "BEE" INVOLVED!!!! I am soooo excited about it. That bulletin board is so cute with yellow butcher paper and the rest of the items.
As far as the display cabinet, we put in the prizes for the quarterly contest with the box tops and campbells soup labels. We have a scooter, boom box, ivideo, and game boy.
Wow a display case. Perhaps you or another talented parent could make a PTO Banner. We have 2 of these and each month we give them to the top teacher from each hall to display if they have had the most parents at the meetings along with the supply baskets we give. If you give door prizes, etc. at your meetings you could put it in your case for everyone to see.
Does your PTO have spirit sales or any other kinds of fundraisers? You could display those items in there.
I too finally got a bulleting board for our PTO. As a former teacher, I have gone to the teacher stores and looked in their bulleting board books for ideas. There are cute ideas you can use for PTO themes. One I am going to use is a football theme, Kicking Off a New Year" I am going to use it for our magazine drive kick off. Another cute one is a baseball theme for the spring when we begin to recruit volunteers for the next year. It has a baseball pitcher with balls and mitts and the theme is "Pitch in".
Hi jamie...I happen to have been put in "charge" of all the hallway bulletin boards in our school. I do alot of character Education stuff but that's not what you are looking for. Some ideas that we have done or doing this year is our monthly calendar, pictures of kids enjoying our events, Star Volunteer profiles, volunteer opportunities, group contacts, stuff along that line. Hope this helps!
