Can I please get membership ideas email to me, too! We need to do something "fresh" this year in order to encourage more parents to get involved. Themes are an excellent idea!

Hi Starr,

Since you are specifically a PTA, there are some terrific membership campaign ideas and resources for PTA at the National PTA website
members only portion. www.pta.org/members/planning/expanding/index.asp
You will need your login and password which is on the back of your membership card or you can e-mail me and I can get it for you.

Also, I did a membership workshop last year and have some great ideas from that. I don't have a lot of the materials on my computer (some but not all) and if you e-mail me your fax #, I can fax them to you. (A lot of stuff and too much to retype here)

Hi Starr!
I am the new co-President of our PTSA and I am putting together a membership drive. The theme: “Don’t be an Airhead – Join PTSA.”
I was able to get the Van Melle company to give me free Airhead candies, which we will give out to all the kids whose parents sign up or the highschoolers who sign up themselves.
I also want to (but have not yet gotten permission from the principal) to warp photos of all the faculty and post them in the hallway until they join.
Also in our campaign we are stressing what we do and have done for the past several years. It seems that no one really knows. The principal was even surprised to hear all the things we do. That, to me, is sad.
Whatever you choose, make it fun and easy! Good luck!

Hi All,

I am new to PTA and membership. Does anyone have a listing of ideas for membership? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
