That sounds good to me! Anytime you can get kids to work on their writing skills. Last year I had thought about having a booth set up at Spring Fling to let kids pay .25 per vote for the "Teacher of the Year". NONE of the teachers thought that was a good idea. We did however have a volunteer of the year where the teachers submitted a ballot for the volunteer. She received a beautiful plaque that only cost $15.00.
In the past they have had the kids write a letter nominating a teacher and it was choosen from those. They usually provide flowers and announce it at the last staff meeting on Wednesday morning....
Our school chooses a staff memeber of the year and we are a new PTO board this year. Any ideas as to how we could make it fun and new this year?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
