I agree with Kathie but I want to add, make everything sound funner than it actually is .
Keep encouraging, January seems to be a slow month for everyone.
I can't begin to understand your military situation, so I can't help you out there, but I bet there is some military wives on here that can help you out more. Keep checking!
If I were in your shoes, I would try to recruit my friends who have children in your school. Personally invite people, one at a time. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to not have ANYONE to help but you have to start with little steps. Perhaps just a parents social and while they are there have some sign up sheets for a simple fun event. Anyone else? She needs HELP!
HELP ME!!I am now the only PTO chairperson, we started with three, and now there's just me. Now I am a very understanding person, I live on a small island with a dominantly military populus.
I know that people come and go frequently, but it is driving me crazy. We have had monthly meetings since the begining of the year, and January's meeting turned out to be two school administrator's and myself. After two weeks of advertising, and makeing anouncements. I am ready to give up. There are 300 students in this school, no one seems to care about what there kids are doing or what the PTO is try to do for them.I NEED HELP!!!!!!! PLEASE.
