I love this site. My daughter's childcare center recently started a PTO. We meet once per month and next week will be our 3rd meeting. I am the Secretary for the group and frustrated with the whole thing. Maybe it's because I'm new to the whole process but the lack of communication is crazy. Aren't the Officers supposed to communicate on a regular basis? If you're going to speak about the group, shouldn't all Officers be aware of it? When you discuss (no plan) fundraisers, shouldn't all Officers be involved?

Am I missing something?

We would like to have movie night once per month, will we need licensing? If so, does anyone know the cost involved?

Our kids are all under the age of 6 plus a few morning/evening school agers. Any fundraising ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You guys have some great ideas. I don't feel so bad about taking on this challenge now. This is a very important time in their lives (think back to our own middle school years, yikes!) and I will try to make it a little better for all. I love all the suggestions and ideas and will let you know what comes of it.
