We have also used Innisbrook for a couple of years and have always made more money than we budgeted. So, when I hear someone say that they are "tired" of Innisbrook, or that we should "try something else", I ask -- have we failed to make budget in the past? That,to me, would be the only reason to switch because that would be your parent community in total telling you by their disinterest in buying the merchandise that it was time to look into something else. Not just the opinion of a few "tired" people.
Our Cookie Dough sale ended last Friday and out of 450 students (K-5th) we sold 900 tubs of dough. They sold for $12 and we made $5. So our profit will be around $4500. Last year we sold just before Christmas (our 3rd fundraiser since start of school) and we only made $2200 so we are pleased. Its easy and the parents seem to enjoy it so much that they are the reason we done it again this year since we received so many request. The dough will be delivered in tubs tomorrow and the company will deliver in a refri. truck and stay with us until all tubs are picked up. The company is Classic Cookie and they are great to work with. I highly recommend them. Good Luck!!
We do the cookie dough fundraiser around the holidays and we only make about $3-$4,000 (we are Pre-K thru 5 and about 600 students). With the company we use (we've looked around) you only get a certain percentage of what you sell, not 50%. The company we used this past year we got $3.33 for each tub of dough sold.
Because of that, we do the catalog sale in September/October and the cookie dough sale in November/December.
Have you seen Innisbrook's new fall catalog? I just looked through mine last night, and as a parent who was getting tired of Innisbrook for anything other than giftwrap, I have to say it looks a lot better. Last year I only bought a picture frame in addition to giftwrap.
On the other hand, I also like the idea of a cookie dough fund raiser. I would like to work it in as a spring fund raiser. I don't want to inundate parents with fund raisers, but in the face of today's budget cuts in public schools, the kids need all the help we can offer.
We've sold Innisbrook for the last 5 years. Last year we make $16,000 (our profit) We're thinking of switching to cookie dough because some parents are 'tired' of Innisbrook. Anyone sell cookie dough and make this kind of money. Thanks!
