If your PTO doesn't send out a monthly newsletter, and it sounds like it doesn't, a FAQ sheet would be a very good idea.
Maybe you could make one up yourself. Just write down all the questions you have and give it to your president. Explain to her your idea and how you think it would help the PTO. Your president "should" welcome this with open arms and run with it.
As president of our group, I'd love to have a hundred Mom's like you . . . so interested and willing to get involved!
There is a letter floating around. The top ten reasons I can't make it to a meeting. I don't know if that's what your looking for. Plus I have the do's and dont's of PTO. I couldn't quite get what you were wanting. (Hey it's Friday!! The brain is slowing shutting down)
Hi I am a new PTO mom and trying to get involved. I would like a little input on this idea. What if there was a little FAQ sent out about PTO to the parents. Like I didn't know that i could bring my kids to our meetings. I didn't go to the 1st 2 this year because. Or maybe some organiztions have sitters. Many ppl may not know how easy it is to come to a meeting. Other questons like some ppl may think that they don't need any help becasue they always see ppl around to help. So anyway...setting up a list of questions a prospective member may ask and since they don't know the answer are hesitant to participate, then answering them right after.
