check this out - a great site for Room Moms - with questions and answers, as well as tips for the class party too.

This might be a good guidelines for those of you that are in the process of putting together a Parent Homeroom form or Handbook.

We provide our parents with a packet that includes volunteer forms for class parties, a sample letter requesting class party and gift money at the beginning of the year, class lists, blank emergency forms to give to parents who have not completed them and guidelins as to how parties are to be run in the classroom. Everything is very clearly stated and they have no dificulty knowing what is expected of them.

When you speak of "survival kits" to hand out to the homeroom parents when they meet, I assume you mean guidelines on how to survive being a homeroom parents. Am I correct?

I know I've searched the internet and see these before.

If anyone else has guidelines for the home room / classroom parent - let us know.

I hope that I am posting in the right place. I am looking for some sort of guidelines or "Survial Kits" that we the board could hand out the classroom reps. (classparents) at our Meet and Greet". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
