Survey ideas/forms for parents and teachers

22 years 2 months ago #107467 by MarylandMom
Hi! If you check out around the forum, there are several threads that deal with surveys, letters, forms, etc. You should find everything you need or at least the people who can get you what you need. If after you have looked around some of the older threads and you still haven't found what you are looking for, let us know. We have been exchanging some terrific ideas on increasing involvement, participation, and membership (each is as different as the words themselves). Alot of us are new Presidents, vice presidents, treasurers, etc. and need alot of advice ourselves, though we may have "been in the system" for a while. You have come to the right place for info (I know I sure did), and it is here...

I am a new PTO president and I am trying to enliven our organization. I have about three parents who are as motivated as I am. I really want to get others involved, for my own sanity and because that's what our organization and school needs. We do not have any teachers involved and like I said only about four parents. I need some basic advice on improving membership, recruiting teachers and volunteers, and what activities will help increase parent and teacher involvement.

I was thinking of sending a survey to the parents and to the teachers to ask them what they want. What do they want to see us do. I know we need their inout to have their support but noone wants to be involved. I need some help and ideas.

If any of you already have a survey tool like this created please e-mail to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Any advice and help is greatly appreciated.
