We do a nice farmers market in the spring and sell produce as well as flowers, A large grocery chain that sells flowers said we could have their yeaserday flowers(about to die they can not sell) we ended up buying whole saleflowers from a flower market and tied little groups of them with pretty bows. Our neighboring school also has a plant sale. They get little ters cotta pots and have children paint on them. Then they plant little flowers in them and sell them at their Spring Fling! Very cute... and every parent wants to but their childs painted pot of course. Last year we added stepping stones to go with the garden plant them. Each class made 1 they all had different themes(butterfly, mosaic, class name, rainbow, sea scape etc..) We bought 5 molds, cement, and tons of sea glass, beads & stuff to decorate them with. They were soooo cute. We sold them in a silent auction format at the farmers market! They went for big bucks $50-$150 can you believe that!!! It was a easy great fundraiser!! Our PTL is trying do some different fundraisers, with one being a flower and plant sale for the spring. Has anyone ever done this and if so, any ideas on how to get this started. I had thought about contacting local and chain nurseries. I hope to hear from some of you soon.
