We did ice-cream cones one year. Did cones and then we put different colors of ice-cream scoops with the joining members names (children) the children loved seeing who was in the lead and the staff members had a big cone as well and as they joined we put their names as well. The winning class with the most members of course got an ice-cream party. Another year we did "cookies" the jars had the names of the teachers and the cookies were put into the cookie jar with the kids name. "Have you put your name in the cookie jar". Another year we did "Shoot for the stars by joining PTO. We had stars with the kids names on it. It was fun. It depends also what is your school mascot. Maybe we can help you if you tell us. We can all think of different ideas.

THE SLOGAN WAS "BEE-COME A MEMBER TODAY" WE CUT OUT BEES AND HAD A BIG
HONEY POT, AND PUT PEOPLES NAMES ON THE BEES AND PUT THEM ALL AROUND THE
HONEY POT,AND THEN I MADE A LETTERHEAD WITH A BUZZING BEE GOING UP THE SIDE
OF THE PAPER AND WE USED THAT FOR COMMUNICATIONS, IT WAS FUN. I GOT THE
BUZZING BE ON AN ART TYPE PROGRAM THAT IS IN MY COMPUTER. HOPE THIS GIVES YOU
SOME IDEAS!!
We tried using a puzzle as the theme. The idea is that everyone is a piece of the big picture - students, teachers, parents, etc. As people joined, a piece of the puzzle was added. Good luck.
We like to have a theme chosen by the end of the previous school year but this year we didnt do it and now I need to send out a summer mailing and would like to include the theme but we cant think of something ... I want something like "Working together to make a difference" but we just had something similar to "making a diffence" so I dont want to be to repetitive.
