Let's define what a "Bad President" really is...

22 years 6 months ago #106917 by IMovePeople
HOLY COW - I've just been nominated prez of a PTO and said I'd take it only if there was no gossip, politicking or bull&^%$ involved - later read this - I'm thinking of bailing before elections in 2 weeks. If the presidents can't even get along, how can we get along with others? Just kidding, I'm in it for the kids, they deserve the best - and so what if my laundry doesn't get done, I'll just make my husband get a second job so I can buy new clothes instead of washing the old ones. What IRKS me is the people who say "PTO is for those stay at home moms" then ask if I want to be president since I work from home (full time - a sales position that requires travel) and drive the baseball/soccer/girl scout/cheerleader shuttle bus while being married to a man who travels about 35-50% of the time. Yeah - those stay at home moms, they've got it made!

Okay, MFH. I read your response. I choose to take the higher road and not respond.

That's right I proudly work for one of the leading teaching universities in the world. Learning is not small stuff. A child's development is not small stuff. Small minds denotes small stuff. YOUR APOLOGY WOULD APPEAR MORE SINCERE IF IT DIDN'T HAVE A CAPITALIZED DIRECTIVE. You apparently need the the chill pill. Bad days don't dictate my responses. Little advice for you: you get as good as you give!!!!!

 ;)  :D

This WAS an easy going discussion, albeit an important and informative one, but easy going none the less. Lighten up and add to the discussion... We're 'discussing' not 'lecturing'.

I think the discussion topic was about "defining a bad president." My comments discussed that topic from the the perspective of those of us who truly care and are not seeking self-edification.

Did you get assigned the job comment critic? Do you get to determine which comments are relavant and which is not? Who are you too tell me to lightened up? If you re-read my comments, then you will note that I was agreeing with your comments about the greedy, power hungry people. Oops! could that be you.

Who are you talking about? And what are you talking about? <blockquote>quote:</font><hr> Midfield High School Isn't the purpose of having a PTO Board is so that the "Board" can work together to enhance the lives and education of the children that attend the school.
If one person is going to dictate and dominate, then what is the purpose of having a board. "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" is the quote which I believe should stand paramount in any group; PTO, PTA, marriage, etc. If we as adults can't master that concept, our children will not gain a grasp for it either.

Then you have greedy, power hungry people left to run organizations. While the "willing to jump in and do whatever people" are overlooked, trampled upon, and feelings shattered. We must stop this cyle.
