Does anyone know of any liablity issues associated with dunking booths? There is a concern about using students in the booth, even with parents' permission. If that is a concern, I want to be concerned for the adults, as well. Have you heard of any problems?
When our PTO didn't have lots of $ to rent a dunking booth, we used a galvanized feed trough that was 6-8ft around and 4ft deep (a local feed store donated it just for the afternoon and then we returned it), our "ag/welding" shop at the high school made the platform and the part that gets hit by the ball- all of the different clubs use it now when they have activities so we didn't have to pay for that either.
Update: I have heard a factory in the next town will loan out a dunking booth for such events if you know someone who works there. I do I will be checking on this next week. Anyone have any suggestions if it falls through?
This year we are finally getting to have a Spring Fling. Hopefully it will be outdoors, if weather permits. We were wondering if we could make a simple dunking booth. I am sure we could rent one but sense we live in such a rural area that would probably be costly.
I guess I've led a sheltered life, the only dunking booths I've ever seen were on T.V.
