Drive for Kids is a program sponsored by Dodge where they work with a local dealership and they come to your school with a certain number of vehicles (3 minivans) and you receive $5 for every person that test drives the car. It's a short get acquainted test drive ours was around the front to the back of the school.
We had a different experience. We had our drive during our Fun Fair on a Friday night and it went very well. Our rep was great, supplies came in a little later (1 week) than anticipated, she was there on time, the dealership was great even gave us an extra incentive for those coming in to the dealership. We earned almost $400 which we thought was great!
Back in the Fall this past Oct. of '02, I filled out the application to have one of the "Dodge, Drive for the Kids" fundraisers during our Spring Fling in May of '03. I have been VERY disappointed in the "field rep" that handled our case and the head office wasn't much more help than he was! We tried to publicize it and really build it up and today (Monday, April 28th) I get a call from the rep that the dealership wasn't going to be able to come now (our fling is on Friday)- which is in 4 days...they never sent me my publicity stuff either and I've called the rep 2 days a week for the last 5 months leaving messages- WHAT A CROCK!
