Since I have always lived in small towns, and everyone knows everyone, I just make personal visits to the local merchants. They've always been amazingly generous. I follow up with a written thank you letter, including the extent of their donation, so they know they're appreciated and have a letter for tax purposes.
Examples of donations:
Local cafe famous for their cookies donates "One Free Cookie" coupons
Local donut shop donates "Two Free Donuts" coupons
Local franchises - McDonalds, Monicals, Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen - have coupons to donate.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."
"The ultimate aim of karate lies not in victory or defeat but in the true perfection of one's character."
We are planning our fall fundraiser and would like to ask local business to donate prizes. The problem is that we would need 200+ of identical items. So that the kids would know what there working towards for each level of sells. Does anyone have a sample of a letter for that or ideas on how to approach? I'd appreciate your thoughts.
