I thought you were going to suggest the sleepover and I was going to comment that I do not think the husbands would be excited about their wives spending the night with me, although my wife would not mind because she could be along with us.

I will look into the thank you thing, Thanks

Our P.T.O. Board somehow manages to pull off all the events of the school year, Book Fair Meal Night, Breakfast with Santa/Secret Shoppe, Science Fair, Talent Show, monthly popcorn sales, Sock Hop & Spring Carnival. (whew!) In the process, we've become a little closer as friends. At the end of the last fund-raiser, we try to get together for a slumber party at a local hotel. (that's right, no kids, no husbands, no clean up)We reflect on our successes and recall the smiles from teachers, staff and most importantly the students. Now, I'm not talking about P.T.O. funds used for this AT ALL! Each Board Member pays her own way for dinner & we split the cost of an adjoining room. But for any of you Presidents looking to do something nice for all the support you received from your fellow members, I recommend the "Thanks Company". They have reasonable prices for small "thank yous". Just wanted to share with others that may have served on Boards for consecutive years and made some really good friends along the way.
