I really liked the A Plus Memories site. They seem to have a lot of cute things there. There are so many art based fundraisers that I am checking into. Original Works is one of them as well as Silver Graphics. Anyone have any luck with Silver Graphics? They all seem so similar.
Okay, I'll have to chime in and vote for Original Works, too. We used them for the first time this past fall, and our art teacher was very pleased with the results. She thanked me for passing on info on this "no hassle, easy fundraiser".
Original Works was the first company to offer this type of fundraiser. That's what I meant by "original" in my earlier post. I have a friend who is an Art Teacher at a K-5 school and has used OW for 15 years. She usually makes easily $2000 from her fundraiser and has never had a problem with them. We used OW for our Kindergarten fundraiser in the fall (our Art Teacher is doing it with the 1-5 grades this spring). We did the program where you send the artwork home with the order form and if the parents choose to purchase items they can do so and if they choose not to then they still have their child's artwork and it's not a big deal for those children who's parents can't purchase anything. My only suggestion is to do it in the Fall for better results money-wise.
Melinda, thanks...we're obviously not alone. I did get through to Square 1 on Monday, their customer service rep was very helpful, it just took a while to get a person on the phone. We were pleased with the products last year, but the issue with delivery is troublesome, especially for parents expecting holiday gifts.
learning, I have found out on another message board that Square 1 Art has upset many in the Massachussetts area where I am originally from. There are many schools who have yet to receive their products and in fact a school was so upset they showed it on a news program over there! Is Square 1 Art a fly by night company?
I took a look at A plus memories and that looks like a great company. I am also going to check out Original Works.
