Thank you. I have read so many posts. I was getting confused on what is for what. I am organizing a silent auction, along with helping to organize a santa's breakfast, canival, and trying to put together a room makeover for one of our classrooms. I just wasnt sure if there were specific letters for different issues, or if I could use on of the letters I copied. I haven't found the lists you were speaking of though to transfer into excel.
What are you asking for?
Are you running an auction and want to know how?
If so, then you need to send out solicitiation letters approx. 6 months before the date. Potential donation lists are all over the place on this website. Find one and cut and paste into excel. Then mail merge this list with solicitation letter. Again, letters are all over the place on this website as well. Cut and paste onto your school letterhead tweek the letter to suit you school.
That is just the first step. You also need people who will solicit local businesses, which is where you get the bulk of your donations.
I am not sure what else you need but hope that above is a help to you.
Good luck.

Ok, real simple. I am new as most of my posts have said. I also jumped in two feet forward blind as a bat into 2 PTO's. Please let me know what kind of letters and when do you send them for which?
I have read, donations, thank yous, etc.
HELP PLEASE! I want to be a big success to our ever growing smaller PTO (both of them)
Gratefully thankful,
Tracy
