I'm not sure what scrips are but I think this progam is different because I don't have to buy anything but what I would normally buy in groceries. I don't have to buy the points for the school just the groceries. They have a web site that you can check it out on. www.winn-dixie.com
Our regional grocery chain has also revamped their loyalty program. It's much easier than it used to be - you can reload your "scrip" card right at the store with your credit card. So...I figured I'd buy my first scrip card with cash at the school for $10, but use my Northwest Visa card to reload it at the store for $500, so I get airline miles, and then buy General Mills products with the grocery store scrip so I can turn in my boxtops back to the school. How's that for taking advantage of the system!
Winn-Dixie grocery stores has started a new fundrasier using their rewards card. Every time you shop and use your customer rewards card they give so many points to your school that are used to get educational products from their catalog. Sounds like a good deal but we have just started so we will have to see how it develops. So far, so good!
