Thanks TK Trojan Mom! I was just needing to revamp the way I did this last year and I think the Staples program looks like a winner. I tried to use your link, but it didn't work for me, although when I typed in just what you wrote, that worked fine. Thanks again!
I would suggest looking into Staples recycling program. We have used Cartridges for Kids in the past and the payout for most of the cartridges we collect was small and varies from $.25 to $1.00, versus with Staples they pay a flat $3.00 for the cartidges they collect. The largest benefit with using Cartridges for Kids is that they also recycle cell phone, PDA's and laptops along with some remanufactured cartridges. We are using both companies to get a payout for all our collected items. www.cartridgesforkids.com
and www.staplesrecyclefored.com. Hope this helps.
Hi everyone-
I'm trying to decide which toner recycling company to go with. We're a small rural school with about 220 students in K-6th grade, in a small community of about 2,000. I'm expecting that we'll probably have a lot of community support from businesses, etc that aren't already recycling. So I would like something simple for businesses to participate in and something that doesn't need a huge number of cartridges before they can be sent in. I've done some research online, but would like personal opinions on companies. Ideally, we'd like cash as we're about to embark on a playground project. Any suggestions? Thanks!
