IAC Appoints MaryAnn Rivers Chief Executive Officer of Entertainment Publications
NEW YORK - July 27, 2006 - IAC/InterActiveCorp (Nasdaq: IACI) announced today that MaryAnn Rivers has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Entertainment Publications, Inc. (EPI).
"MaryAnn Rivers has had outstanding success building and running multi-million dollar direct marketing and couponing businesses," said Doug Lebda, President and COO of IAC. "Her track record of leading high-performance sales and marketing organizations and her vision for growing EPI’s business make her the right choice to lead the company."
“The potential to build on the tremendous brand equity of the Entertainment and Sally Foster brands is enormous,†said Ms. Rivers. “Technology is creating significant shifts in the way consumers buy products and make entertainment, travel and dining decisions, but one constant remains: people always want the best value. I look forward to finding engaging and interactive ways to further provide that value to consumers, and in so doing, drive significant ROI for our partners.â€
Ms. Rivers previously served as Vice President of Business Development and Product Management at Valassis, a $1.1 billion marketing services company, where she was responsible for managing the company’s integrated marketing portfolio of products and developing new products and services. Prior to this, Ms. Rivers created and grew Valassis’ newspaper-delivered product sampling division into a nearly $100 million business. In 2001 Ms. Rivers was named to Crain’s Detroit Business’s “Forty Under Forty†list of Detroit-area business leaders. Ms. Rivers holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central Michigan University.
